New to market Smoothie King has leased two locations in Central Iowa with their flagship enterprise planning to open at West Glen Town Center late in the summer of 2016. The second location will open in the fall in Waukee at 1135 SE Alice’s Road. Ferguson Commercial Real Estate Services’ Michael Shindler exclusively represents the tenant as they plan to expand the operation to include 6 stores throughout the state of Iowa by the end of 2017.
Smoothie King is an international company that was founded in 1973 in New Orleans by Steve Kuhnau and has grown to over 650 locations on three continents. Kuhnau originally created the company to combat his food allergies by mixing various nutrients and proteins with real fruit. The company now has over 80 different smoothies on the menu ranging from fitness and low calorie blends to a kid’s menu as well as an assortment of snacks to hold you over between meals.
