Ferguson Commercial Real Estate Services is excited to welcome Camp Bow Wow as a new tenant at Clocktower Square. Camp Bow Wow will be moving into the space at 2900 University Avenue, locally known as Clocktower Square located in West Des Moines. Camp Bow Wow is a daycare for dogs to stay at for either a single night or multiple weeks and not only do they provide services to board your dog, but they will also groom and train your dog during their stay. Camp Bow Wow plans to open during the summer of 2021 and will occupy 9,070 square feet of space that formerly housed Golf HQ.
The addition of Camp Bow Wow will be an excellent complement to the other tenants in Clocktower Square, a 152,680 square foot grocery-anchored retail center at 2800 University Avenue and 2900 University Avenue. Anchored by Fresh Thyme Farmers Market, the center is comprised of 16 total tenants with national brands like T.J Maxx, Fresh Thyme Farmers Market and Tuesday Morning plus local restaurant staples like Ohana Steakhouse and Waterfront Seafood Restaurant. The center is very busy during the daytime because it attracts lots of people due to all of the shops and restaurants. It is the second largest employee concentration behind downtown Des Moines with over 77,578 employees and 1,000 businesses within a two-mile radius.
Clocktower Square is also located less and half a mile from Valley West Mall, which provides a lot of daily consumer traffic. The mall is under-going a $258 million renovation to their property. The old Yonkers building will come down to make way for a new residential project with a pond along with office buildings, a new restaurant space and an entertainment space. With these renovations, it should draw in a new consumer market, making Clocktower Square an even more attractive location.
There are currently three units still available for lease at the Clocktower Square. These spaces are ideal with storefronts facing University Ave. Employees would also benefit from surrounding businesses such as Merle Norman, Sally Beauty and Phoenix Salongs plus with almost all of the restaurants having outdoor seating. Employees would be able to have easy access to these stores during their break making it a very attractive place to work.
